The jury will review all entrants indiviually and narrow their selection to three projects before meeting collectively to discuss and select the winners. All entrants will be exhibited online in the Selection tab of this website.

The boards of the top three winners, as selected by the jury, will be exhibited at the NJSOA Gallery, Published in Dwell Magazine, the New York Times and The Star Ledger (New Jersey Newspaper).

PRIZES

The jury will select a first, second and third place winner. The competition jury may also elect to award multiple honorable mention finalists. Prizes will be awarded as follows:

For individuals and teams, only those persons whose names have been listed via PayPal (and/or correspondence) will be acknowledged or awarded prizes. For firms or studios, awards will be issued to the entire firm or studio.

Acceptance of a prize shall constitute and signify a winner s consent to the use of his/her name, address (city and state only), voice and/or photograph for commercial, advertising and promotional purposes without further compensation, unless prohibited by law.

AIA Newark and Suburban does not guarantee the construction of any of the proposed designs designated as winners of the Competition. Winning entries may be subject to public review and presentation to the Newark, New Jersey authorities in anticipation of the next planning phase.

The jury's decision is final and no correspondence will be enterd into after the announcement of the winners. Competition proceeds will go to a Newark, New Jersey Charity.
