Descriptive Memory

This proposal “Spiral” is a conceptual synthesis that pretend symbolize a new mega metalic structure that supports 5000 containers (40´) with diverse functions (housing, commerce and offices). Trying to lodge the population growth of Newark City the next 20 years (5%: 14.000 people). The form arises like an answer to a dialogue between the existing main arteries: Broad Street, Dr. M.L. King Jr, University Avenue, Eagles Street, Burnet Street and Lackawanna Street; the train station and historic center.
Vertical itself to become an urban landmark. The operation of the set is pedestrian, to carry all it is under earth. The final form is an organic composition remembering the nature like objective post-industrial.
