This site located on the northern border of the Newark, New Jersey’s Central Ward is a pivotal point of movement by everyone in the area.  We’re defined by what we pass on to the next generation.  That is why it is important to utilize this site a place of gathering.  A place to establish community once again on the personal level.  This site is surrounded by travelers of many kinds.  People of all ages are moving from one point to another; always in a state of transition; whether it be from elementary on to college, light rail to get to work, or going to Riverfront Stadium to see a game.  This site has the opportunity to embrace its location as this pivotal point of transition, commerce, and community; able to accommodate by providing a point in the heart of the community where life on many scales can revolve and evolve.
