The ISVP, Interstitial Solid Void and Partial, is a housing module composed of recycled shipping containers. The primary components are used with regularity across the site and throughout the housing module.

The SOLID . the core. a complete container including all of the original corrugated cladding. it contains the circulation, MEP, and water treatment facilities.

The PARTIAL . the component. an apartment, be it one, two, or three bedrooms, or a retail store. It is the building block upon which the housing modules are built. each component is interchangeable dependent only on the needs of the residents. the components retain their original corrugated metal on the exterior, but on the interior new finishes are applied. Contains people, furnishings, and memories.

The VOID . a cage. used as porches for interaction with family, friends, the greater residential community. It is a connector using only the structural components from the original container. Fill it with friends and food, puppies and parties.

Each piece comes together to form modules, be them retail, mixed use, or residential. And these in turn fill the site creating pockets and nodes. They intermix and connect bringing the community together and allowing for a variety of interactions.
